Metal Spinning Shear Forming
The process is based on the physical law of conservation of volume, where the raw material content of the blank is sheared from one level to the other. Through the parallel movement of the spinning wheel towards the mandrel, a tapered or arched workpiece can be processed. The material of the blank flows axially under the pressure of the roller, while the wall thickness decreases along the shear angle. The whole processing process only needs the spinning wheel to complete once. The process is characterized by its high efficiency, which allows high contour accuracy and surface quality to be achieved in a very short time.
Shear spinning also has high requirements for machine tools. When the rigidity of the equipment is guaranteed, the cutter wheel can maintain a precision range relative to the mandrel, so as to achieve high-precision and high-surface workpieces.
